Ingredients

3 pcs orange
1 tbsp demerara sugar
2 tbsp grand marnier
300 g christmas pudding
500 g custard
250 g mascarpone
284 ml double cream
handful flaked almonds
grated dark chocolate
Directions
Peel the oranges, remove all pith and slice as thinly as possible and arrange on a plate.
Sprinkle the orange slices with demerara sugar and drizzle with Grand Marnier, set aside to macerate.
Crumble the Christmas pudding into large pieces and scatter over the bottom of a trifle bowl.
Lift the macerated orange slices onto the pudding in a layer and pour over any juices.
Beat the mascarpone until smooth then stir in the custard and spoon the mixture over the oranges.
Lightly whip the double cream and spoon it over the custard layer.
Sprinkle with flaked almonds and grated dark chocolate.
