Ingredients

Cevapi Sausages

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 250 g minced pork
  • 1 pcs onion (finely chopped)
  • 4 pcs garlic (grated)
  • 3 tbsp parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 0.75 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 pcs vegetable stock cube (e.g., Vegeta)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Directions

  • Place the ground meat in a bowl.
  • Chop the onion very finely and grate the garlic; add to the bowl.
  • Add chopped parsley, paprika, baking powder, breadcrumbs, water, vegetable stock cube, salt and pepper.
  • Mix well with a hand mixer fitted with dough hooks.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
  • Portion the mixture into about 50–55 g pieces and shape into rolls about thumb-thick and 7–10 cm long.
  • Grill on a hot grill pan or barbecue for 12–14 minutes, turning several times, until browned and cooked through.
  • Optionally reheat in a 180°C oven for about 10 minutes if needed.
